How It Works
What Is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Let’s Be Real
ABA has a complicated reputation—and for good reason. Every individual’s experience with ABA is different, and every experience is valid. The research and evidence supporting ABA are strong, but what truly matters is how we apply it. At Shweet Behavior, we believe ABA must move beyond a compliance-based approach and instead prioritize meaningful, socially valid behavior changes that genuinely benefit our clients and their families.
What We Provide

In-Home/Community ABA Therapy
Whether at home, daycare, or other community settings, we support our clients in adapting not only to their environment but also in transforming those environments to meet their needs. RBTs collaborate with clients to implement plans developed by the BCBA that focus on daily behaviors and coping skills. The aim isn’t to alter the individual, but to assist them in navigating a world that isn’t inherently designed for them.

Parent Training
Parents need support, too. We are not only here to support your child, but to set you up for success as well. We focus on Functional Communication Training (FCT) with parents and their children so each individual can communicate and have their needs met. None of us are mind readers. Clear communication is the first step toward reaching our goal of creating an environment where each individual feels comfortable and heard.

Methods
We specalize in Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), and Natural Environment Teaching (NET).

Sleep Training
Our methods are based in compassion and that is how we approach sleep training. We do not support a “Cry It Out” method, but instead focus on intentional shaping to build a routine that leads to peaceful nights for parents and children.

Social Skills Groups (In Progress)
Studies have shown a positive benefit to engaging in art and group activities for individuals with autism. With our social skills groups, our goal is to fill the summer months with laughs, smiles, and creativity, while supporting our clients in shaping positive behaviors and advocating for their needs across a variety of settings.
